Freedom Celebration with Fireworks

Proceeds from this race are donated to the Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund.

Distances: 50k (9 hour cutoff), 16 mile (7 hour cutoff) and 5 mile

Location: The race starts and ends on the Torian Plum Lawn in front of Slopeside Grill.

Start Times: 50k – 6:00 am, 16 mile – 8:00 am, 5 mile – 8:15 am

Pets: Leashed dogs are welcome on the 5 mile mile course only.  Please be courteous at the start when the field is in close proximity on the narrow single track.

Online registration opens on December 1, 2024.

Online registration closes on Friday, August 22nd at 6 pm. You may also register in person at packet pickup, Friday, August 22nd from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

Packet pick up:  4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, August 22nd at Ski Haus, 1457 Pine Grove Road, Steamboat Springs

There is NO registration on race day! Please sign up early.

Registration Fees:

-50k: $130 ($145 after April 30, $160 after July 29th), maximum of 200 runners

-16 mile: $70 ($85 after April 30, $90 after July 29th), maximum of 200 runners 17 & under $45

-5 mile: $25 ($30 after April 30th, $35 after July 29) 17 & under: $15 ($20 after July 29th)

-Prices do not include RunSignup fees

-0.000% Tax for all races

T-Shirt: $20 (Not guaranteed to be available after August 15th.)

No Refunds: all Steamboat Springs Running Series races benefit local non-profit organizations.
