The Firecracker 5 & Sparkler Sprint

Columbus Recreation will be hosting a 5K (3.1 mile) run & walk on July 4th. 5k run & walk will begin at 8:30am with check in beginning at 7:30 am. Event will happen rain or shine.

The 5k Run & Walk course is residential with few hills. Beginning and ending at the Columbus Area Aquatic Center (250 Folsom Street) in Fireman's Park.

5K Run & Walk- Awards will be given for overall finishers (Male & Female) and age group awards. Water and snacks will be provided to participants.

Enrollment into 5K event on/before June 17th: Participation into 5K Run & Walk and receive a Firecracker 5 T-Shirt for $30.00.

Enrollment into 5K event on/after June 18th: Participation into 5K Run & Walk and receive a Firecracker 5 T-Shirt for $40.00.

*The 5K course will once again have a fork in the route for those wishing to participate, but only run or walk 2 miles.

The Children's Sparkler Sprint will be a 100 yard sprint open to children 12 & under. Sprint will begin and end near the Columbus Area Aquatic Center (250 Folsom Street) in Fireman's Park. Check in for the event will begin at 9:00 AM, with a start at 9:30 AM.

Enroll into Sparkler Sprint event BEFORE June 26th: Participate in Sparkler Sprint and receive a 4th of July Swag Bag.
