Why run 4 to 5 miles on a TUESDAY? Here s some good reasons: 1) It
feels great when you re done 2) We are a very fun and friendly group
of dedicated (i.e. crazy) folks who run in all weather 4) For the
victory beer/snack afterwards! We will meet in the parking lot in front
of the Up North Bar on the corner of E. Wilson St. & S. Blair St.
across from Machinery Row Bicycles. The Up North Bar is connected to
(and owned by) the Essen Haus. I will wait a few extra minutes for
latecomers, but the run will leave at 6:35pm. Afterwards, we generally
stop in Come Back Inn or Essen Haus for a pint/bite. Both places are
quite welcoming to a table-full of sweaty runners!
There are 2 routes to choose from off the Capital City Trail. In the
summer, when the group tends to grow, we have a pretty wide range of
paces. In the winter, our group tends to be smaller. In either case,
we encourage you to check out the route beforehand. We welcome all
paces, and at the end of the run, we always wait outside until
everyone has returned.
