We are so excited to welcome you to MADISON for a fun weekend of
HIGHLAND DANCING! We are returning to the wonderful Oakwood Village
University Woods' auditorium and arts venue, which is a fantastic
theatre in an assisted living community. MADISON is beautiful in the
fall, and we are so excited to offer a varied mix of DANCES WITH LOADS
OF CHANCES TO "get out there and DANCE"! The WORKSHOP WILL BE ON
SUNDAY 9 OCTOBER ONLY ONE MILE AWAY AT MADISON BALLET'S STUDIOS ON

competition will conform to RSOBHD rules and all dancers must produce
a valid 2022 RSOBHD card (SDUSA/SDC) in order to dance. The
Judges decision is final. Age groups will be determined according to
the number of entries. All competitors ages are determined as of the
day of the competition: 10/08/22 Dancers entering first will dance
last. Dancers must be ready and appear when called or forfeit the
chance to dance in that event. Dancers must be in costume to
receive awards. Medals will be awarded in all categories. Funding
permitting, cash prizes may be awarded to Premier dancers in lieu of
medals at the discretion of the organizers. The Capital City Dance
Competition organizers reserve the right to add or remove events from
the schedule and tomake other changes as long as its action is within
the scope of the RSOBHD rules. Costume changing will be available
onsite. Dancers, volunteers, and spectators at SDUSA competitions must
comply with state and local guidelines for safety standards pertaining
to Covid-19. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, especially
if you are not vaccinated, please do so even if state and local
guidelines do not require it. It is the dancers responsibility to
abide by the 3-month rule (may not have taken any classes, on-line
lessons, workshops, etc. with the judge for the event).
