SUMMER CAMP VBS COMES TO ST. Matthew's on July 26. This week long camp is for children entering 4K - 6th grade.The theme for Day Camp 2021 is: Easter at Camp Each day of day camp also has a theme and verse. Day 1. Daily Theme: I Know That My Redeemer Lives Daily Verse: Luke 23:43: Jesus answered him, Truly I tell you, today you will be with me inparadise. Day 2. Daily Theme: He Lives To Help In Time Of Need Daily Verse: Matthew 26:75b: And he [Peter] went outside and wept bitterly. Day 3. Daily Theme: He Lives to Intercede Daily Verse: John 20:21: Again Jesus said, Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I amsending you. Day 4. Daily Theme: He Lives My Hungry Soul to Feed Daily Verse: Luke 24:32: They asked each other, Were not our hearts burning within us while hetalked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us? Day 5. Daily Theme: He Lives To Take Me Safely There Daily Verse: Acts 2:24: But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death,because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. St. Matthew's volunteers will partner with the staff from Camp Phillip to give kids a summer camp experience without leaving our campus. From the opening to the closing program, your child will enjoy adventures, crafts, time in God's word, singing, snacks and more. We hope your children come! Invite your friends too! Dates: Monday, July 26 to Friday, July 31 Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Cost: Five mornings of camp, snack and a t-shirt are included. $25 per child Location: St. Matthew's Lutheran School 1650 Brown St. Oconomowoc, WI 53066 Ages: Children entering 4K - 6th grade for the 2021-22 school year. *Things to bring to camp - All children - a water bottle, labeled with their first and last name. - All children - a light cold lunch, labeled with their first and last name. - 4K & 5K students - spare clothes brought in a ziplock bag, labeled with their first and last name. - If a child has a food allergy please provide a personal snack for your child each day. - Any inhalers, epi-pens, or prescription medications if your child needs them during camp hours. These items must be brought in their original containers! We will have medication authorization forms at the registration table. What to wear: Weather permitting, we plan to hold many activities outside. Please dress your child for the weather. - Sunscreen/sunblock. Please apply to your child before arriving at VBS. - Athletic shoes and socks. - Comfortable shorts and t-shirt. Check-In: - Check-in begins at 8:15 am every morning at St. Matthew's school main entrance (Door #1). - Campers 1st grade and up join the volunteers and staff in the gym for the opening program. - 4K & 5K campers will meet in the 4K classroom. - The opening program begins at 8:30 am each morning. Registration will stay open until 8:45 am. Summer Camp VBS Sample Schedule for 1st grade and up Campers will be grouped according to age. Grades 1-6 will rotate between the activities below. Campers entering 4K & 5K will participate in the opening program with the group, and then they will break off into smaller groups for age-appropriate activities.
