Mootee Spaza: Nico & Moe

Thursday the 28th of March heralds the first of MOOTEE BAR’s 2019 series of mooteespaza [https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/mooteespaza] events in Melville, proudly hosting two international industry stalwarts for one exclusive experience: First up, visiting MOOTEE FROM NEW YORK, is Parisian bartender Nico de Soto [https://www.facebook.com/de.soto.nicolas] whose approach to drinks is inspired by his travels and food experiences across Paris, Australia, New York and London. Nico owns numerous cocktail hotspots including Kaido – a Japanese influenced cocktail lounge in Miami, Mace– a small but mighty cocktail bar in New York City’s East Village, and Danico– a thriving addition to Paris’s Second Arrondissement. Next up, Moe Aljaff – born in the Middle East but brought up in Sweden, Moe draws on his experiences from both as well as his work in Amsterdam, Thailand, Norway and Spain. He is the man behind the brand, and dive bar of the same name in Barcelona, TWO SCHMUCKS; which opened without investors or brand sponsorship on a budget of only €2,000. Moe believes that ‘flavour is King’ and his unconventional way of doing things at TWO SCHMUCKS encompasses using local, seasonal and homemade ingredients from the region he’s in.
