South Africa’s longest-running film festival - and the largest film
festival on the African continent - the Durban International Film
Festival generally runs across 12 days towards the end of July,
presenting over 180 screenings of current films from around the world,
with a strong focus on South African and African cinema. Screenings
take place throughout Durban, its surrounding township areas, and for
the first time ever, at Molo Mollo in Pretoria Central. Molo Mollo in
collaboration with DIFF will be hosting a one-night-only satellite
event in Pretoria. Hosted on the rooftop of Molo Mollo House and set
against the Pretoria cityscape, the satellite event will feature
screenings of some of the top short films selected for this year’s
festival. Doors open at 19:00; event starts at 19:45. We have
popcorn and beverages on sale for the full rooftop cinema
