The Muse described Tony Cox as '... one of the first important non-traditional South African guitarists'. Being born in Zimbabwe, trained in classical guitar and experimenting with technique that was strongly influenced by his surrounds, made him stand out as a guitarist and won him many awards for his recorded works. He performed all over the world but recently focused on his project to teach underprivileged children as well as giving online guitar classes internationally.
