Elysium Theatre

Elysium Theatre celebrates and supports great Australian THEATRE and its practitioners. Elysium Theatre is an owner operated theatre company championing small scale productions. The company produces and tours its work and presents professional touring plays. Our home is based in the beautiful and historic Sandgate Town Hall, which provides an intimate setting for theatre yet space to conduct group work in a comfortable environment. Theatre is a tremendous vehicle with which to reflect on, to question and to comment on the many dimensions of our society. We invite you to approach each performance with an open mind and open heart. ​ We present monthly events, mostly mid month and always on Wednesday. Mid week theatre has many benefits including matinee accessibility for local families, school groups, as well as opportunities for holiday programs. Our Community Engagement Plan (CEP) in collaboration with SANDBAG will continue in 2018 to offer opportunities for access to our productions. Elysium Theatre receives no government or philanthropic financial support. Any contribution can make a significant impact on our capacity to present stimulating, professional theatre to our community.
