Around the Campfire Inc. is a not for profit organisation focused on improving Indigenous health and opportunity in remote areas across Australia. Around the Campfire Inc. is a not for profit organisation focused on improving Indigenous health and opportunity in remote areas across Australia. Around the Campfire Inc believes women are the key to improving the health of Indigenous Australians, and our goal is to further empower and educate Indigenous women in remote communities across Australia. Around the Campfire Inc will help to close the life expectancy gap through health scholarships and grants for Indigenous women, and the Around the Campfire Cup carnivals. Around the Campfire Inc is dedicated to this mission through developing and operating health promotion and cultural education initiatives to reduce the number of Indigenous Australians that die prematurely due to the Big 5; Diabetes, Heart Disease, Suicide, Liver Disease and Lung Cancer. Improving the level of interest and understanding of Indigenous Australian culture will lead to reduced racism, bigotry and discrimination, and better mental health outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
