Dedicated to supporting Soroka, the leading medical center in Israel and the sole major medical center for the entire south, American Friends of Soroka Medical Center raises awareness for the hospital and helps fund new projects. Soroka Medical Center is Israel's leading medical center and its most strategic. Located in one of the country’s most diverse areas, Soroka is the sole major medical center for the entire Negev. Soroka serves over one million residents, including over 400,000 children, in an area that comprises 60% of Israel’s land. It offers recognized excellence and innovation across the entire medical spectrum: prevention, research, diagnosis, education and world-class integrated care for all medical areas including cancer, genetics, brain and trauma. Soroka is essential to meeting the medical needs of the Israel Defense Forces, currently relocating large bases to the Negev, an area experiencing surging population given its nexus of high-tech and cyber-security corporations.  Soroka is a symbol of peaceful coexistence; we provide exceptional healthcare to all, regardless of race, religion or politics.
