Arthur Migliazza Arthur Migliazza has been performing Blues and Boogie Woogie music professionally since the age of 13 and has earned a reputation world wide as being one of the greatest living players of the style. In 2010 Arthur was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, and in that same year he teamed up with pianist Bob Baldori, who recorded and toured with Chuck Berry for over 40 years. Together they presented Boogie Stomp! The Get Up and Dance Musical in theaters around the US and Off Broadway in Times Square, as well as in Canada and Russia. In addition to being an incredible performer, with a “charming and natural stage presence”, Arthur has been teaching others how to play Boogie Woogie piano for over 21 years, both in classrooms and in private lessons. In January 2016 Hal Leonard, the world’s largest sheet music publisher in the world, published Arthur’s first instructional book “How to Play Boogie Woogie Piano”. Vocalist Scot Albertson / Project 142 Music has been a constant in Scot's life since early childhood. A choir member of the Little Singers of Norwalk, Scot traveled, sang and competed internationally with the Choir for six years. Alternate paths were explored after graduating college, Scot served as a Police Officer for the City Of Norwalk, CT for six years segueing to a position as a United States Border Patrol Agent in Arizona for a year. Withdrawing from Law Enforcement, Scot returned to Connecticut to start a very successful small business which sustained for nineteen years. Project 142 is a Concert Series created by Retired Minister & Musician (Violin & Trombone) Dick Leonard. Dick is Minister Emeritus at All Souls Unitarian Church in New York City. Dick is a graduate of Yale & former President of the Yale Band Alumni & performed twenty years with the Riverside Orchestra as a Violinist (played on a dozen instruments in total). The Series was originally known as PROJECT 142 / 15V. Dick offered his home on Manhattan’s West Side free to Artists / Musicians as a non-commercial space to perform concerts. Dick also supplied sandwiches, soft drinks & ice cream bars to guests free. The philosophy of this Series is as long as the Artist / Musician can self promote their Concert & guarantee an audience of 20 or more, they are welcome to a free space to perform & be a part of the Project 142 Family. The Series began in 2010 & Dick generously hosted 1,500 people as guests (61 music events). Summer of 2013 found that the Series had outgrown Dick’s home and dick enlisted the aid of Vocalist / Performer / Producer Scot Albertson (www.scotalbertson.com), who had performed four times in Dick’s home, to find a new space for the growing Series.
