The Back To Living Dance Class is pleased to offer Chicago-Style Steppin’ Classes. This art form is rooted in the rich Nubian urban culture. It combines the elegance of ballroom dancing with the timing, rhythmic, and expression elements of various hand/social dances. It allows a woman to accent her inner and outer beauty with style and grace. Men learn to lead in the dance while being perfect gentlemen and appreciative of sharing the woman’s company. Our team has a sincere passion for the dance and an absolute commitment to your success as an emerging stepper. Your class sessions will be enjoyable while you are getting a healthy workout in an environment of fun, laughter, and new friendship building. You will love this experience. It is an opportunity to get together with your girlfriends, to get your spouse off the couch, or to just let your hair down and express your right to be free to live. Life was meant to be enjoyed, so join us and get Back To Living! The Back To Living Dance Class instructors are knowledgeable and experience. We specialize in teaching the 6 count method. We will teach you mastery of the basics and elevate you to up to the intermediate level. We move into turns, ladies footwork, over all rules of the dance and combinations. As an intermediate stepper you will be able to dance with anyone, anywhere in the world when it comes to Chicago Style Steppin. Progression to the advanced level where we encourage creativity and developing your own style will be up to you. You can go as far as you choose in this dance but it is not necessary. The enjoyment with others is all that really matters. Once a student has successfully learned and embraced all phases of this art form, they become a true stepper. We will establish group outings where everyone can meet at a specific location and turn the joint out! Steppin’ becomes a part of your lifestyle. Kansas City Steppers Group invite and welcome you to join and learn this elegant dance. Our instructional experience has taught us that a new student should be ready to hit the dance floor within approximately 8 to 10 weeks of “consistent” class participation along with “practicing” at least 15 minutes per day to your favorite stepper’s music. We can’t wait to see you do your thing on the dance floor!
