Bay Dervish

Bay Dervish is a center of the Sufi Way & Open Path, a lineage of universal Sufism that draws from many faith traditions in a spirit of respect. Our approach is inclusive, combining classical Sufi wisdom and practice with creative mystical ideas as they unfold across the contemporary landscape. All are welcome at our gatherings, whatever their beliefs or ideas may be. A true Sufi pespective is open to all philosophies, faiths, traditions, religions and spiritual practices. The activities of Bay Dervish center are led by Jeanne and Kiran Rana, senior members of the Sufi Way. For the last five years they have held monthly Sufi conversations and gatherings for everything from zikr, music and worship to evenings of storytelling and dancing. Most of these activities are held in their home in Alameda, where they welcome friends from all directions and generations.
