Chicago Literacy Alliance

The Chicago Literacy Alliance (CLA) is an association of agencies operating in and around Chicago to help meet lifespan literacy needs for people of all ages and backgrounds. We are dedicated to increasing the combined impact of the community’s literacy agencies by providing opportunities for creative and effective collaboration. Our goals are: 1)      Ongoing coalescence of Chicago’s literacy community around the CLA, increasing membership to include as many organizations as possible. 2)      Continual launch, implementation, evaluation, and refinement of collaborative projects that draw upon the particular expertise of participating agencies to effect significant and combined impact for the cause of literacy in Chicago. 3)      Serve as a source of information and resources concerning literacy in Chicago for all members of the community who wish to learn about, join in, or support the cause.
