Founded by their vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alan Garcia, the name Civil Strife was inspired by stories told by his parents about living in Los Angeles, CA in the early to mid 1990's. Alan's vocal style has been described by many spectators to be powerful, passionate and most of all unique. Vince Nejedlo is the band's charismatic character that shreds lead guitar and, from time to time, the harmonica, working well with Alan's dynamic songwriting style.

Alan and Vince are superlatively wild and animated on the stage accompanied by the unbreakable force of their bassist and percussionist. Alan's father, Mark Kennedy, - who may seem familiar if you've ever seen him with Hells Bells/Big Gun ranked #1 AC/DC tribute by Rolling Stone Magazine - rumbles on the bass with true, old fashioned rock'n'roll grit and passion. Neiko Levenhagen holds most of the power and is the backbone of the band behind the drums with a rigid and firm structure that keeps everything glued tight together.

Civil Strife has a large collection of original songs with styles ranging from rock, blues, and folk to reggae and punk. Each member brings something different to the table and they are all just as diverse in their origins as they are in their art. Civil Strife is a burst of pyromania illuminating the night sky, expressing the vitality of a riot through amplifiers and percussion. Yet, the recognition of all varieties of styles manifests in their music. Made in America. Yet, America stretches from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and from Canada to Mexico - and Civil Strife represents it all.
