Daar Ibn Abbas

Daar ibn Abbas is an Islamic Educational Community Centre that was established in 2010. Its mission is to facilitate and perpetuate a means of reviving and implementing authentic Islamic education (Beneficial Knowledge), moral & spiritual development and calling to Islam.   The Objective of Daar Ibn Abbas is to sow the seeds of Prophetic inheritance in people who will spread it, and is based on the following principles:  - Dissemination of Islamic Knowledge through an unbroken chain of transmission with attention to thoroughness, in accordance with the inherited method using beneficial modern means and approaches to education whilst relating the knowledge to current contexts.- Purification of the soul through sincerity in intention, cleansing of the heart and disciplining of manners.- Nurturing aptitude and resolve in competent explanation and spreading benefit to the broadest spectrum possible.   Daar Ibn Abbas' journey started in Bankstown in a rented property in Cross St through which it had served the local community by providing five daily prayers, Friday and Eid prayers, Tarawih during Ramadan and classes and gatherings for the entire familiy.   The next chapter in Daar Ibn Abbas' journey is the establishment of the first permenant and purpose-built place of worship and community centre for Muslims living in and around Condell Park in Sydney.
