Active in the Pacific Northwest since 2010, the Delgani String Quartet is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating an appreciation for chamber music through distinctive performance, innovative programming, educational outreach, and collaboration. Delgani strives to create community with audiences in ways that reflect the intimacy of the string quartet itself, through interaction, expression, and spontaneity. Delgani has recently been invited to the Oregon State Capitol to perform at the 2015 Opening Ceremony of the House of Representatives. Additional upcoming engagements include a benefit concert for the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund and appearances on chamber music series in Eugene, Corvallis, Junction City, Cottage Grove, and Ashland. The quartet has performed and recorded works for local composers, including Nicole Portley, Paul Safar, Steffan Schmidt, Jason Heald, Alex LaFollett, and Addison Wong. Recent engagements include a concert through the Farnley Tyas Foundation in Ashland, performances at Delfino Vineyards, benefit concerts for the Oregon Mozart Players, and performances and educational outreaches through Umpqua Community College and the Douglas County Youth Orchestra.
