Denise Marie Flaherty Memorial Foundation

The DMF Foundation started out in 2003 as a way for me to pay back Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) for their tremendous treatment of my mother during her 9 year battle with Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma.  It is in her memory that we built this foundation! Over the years we have grown from a group of friends and family playing golf into a national foundation hosting multiple events in multiples states.  For years, we have been coming together to share stories, laugh, cry, and raise funds and awareness and there is no end in sight, and no limit to how big we will get and how far reaching we will go.  Our goals are simple: to celebrate the lives of those we love who battle this unfair disease, to support them both emotionally and financially, and to pay it forward to MSKCC and support their collaborative research efforts.  Over a 16 years later what started out as one boys tribute to the MOM he loved so much has grown into special events held in 5 states, and year round support for so many.  Cancer affects many lives and as the foundation has grown we have expanded it to include a tribute to a great number of our extended cancer fighting family, a number that continues to grow and expand as we add events throughout the country.  Last year we were able to, not only send a large donation to MSKCC to further the fight, but also support 9 fighers, and their families who are struggling personally and financially as a result of Cancer. That is the plan again this year, and with the expansion to AZ our reach will be even farther.  We have events no in NC, NJ, OH, IL and AZ and with your help we can affect some real and positive change both short and long term.  I hope you will join us in our fight.  If you know anyone interested in playing, donating, volunteering or sponsoring please let me know.  You can reach me @ brian@deniseflahertyfoundation.org or 732-232-4341 God Bless, Brian A.
