The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction & Juvenile Justice partners with Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils (JCPCs) in each county to galvanize community leaders to reduce and prevent juvenile crime. JCPC board members are appointed to two-year terms by the Durham County Board of Commissioners and meet monthly. The meetings are open to the public, and all business is considered public information.
