Friends of the Fort Myers Library

Friends of the Fort Myers Library is a 501(c)3 organization. Our purpose is to raise funds to enhance the services of our library by providing equipment, supplies and other necessities that are not funded in the library’s budget. We pay for materials and books for children’s programs, refreshments for Small Business programs, genealogy programs, support special events like teen ComicFest and the Summer Reading Program. Every year we donate $2500 to the Reading Festival which is nearly 20% of our annual budget.     We also fund our own adult programs—like the one you’re looking at now—bringing theater, music, cooking demos, lectures, magic, and opportunities to meet authors and filmmakers.
