Girls Inc. of Orange County

Inspiring all girls to be Strong, Smart, and Bold Girls Inc. of Orange County positively changes the lives of 4,000 girls, kindergarten to 18 years old, each year by providing year-round holistic, compensatory, and intentional programming focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math). Girls Inc. of Orange County has been a respected member of the non-profit community for over 60 years. The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We put our mission into practice through the Girls Inc. experience that equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers and grow into healthy, educated and independent adults. Health, education and independence are the three main areas that surround our program curricula. We are an affiliate of the Girls Incorporated national organization, the nation’s leading research and evaluation organization on issues pertaining to girls and young women. We work with girls kindergarten to 18 years old with proven “girl-focused” programs at our center located in Costa Mesa and at outreach sites established at schools and community centers throughout Orange County. In 2016, we served 4,000 girls. However, for every girl we reached this past year, there are 50 more waiting in Orange County. With the community’s assistance and support, our numbers can continue to grow. As the oldest girl-centered organization in the U.S., Girls Inc. has been transforming girls’ views of themselves and their opportunities for generations.
