Grambling University Nat'l Alumni Association - Southern California Chapter

Grambling State University, the place “Where Everybody Is Somebody” is a phrase embodied by all of the students who attended this historically Black university, located in Grambling, Louisiana. Grambling was at the height of popularity in the late eighties amongst students living in California due to the success of the television show “A Different World”, that chronicled the life of students attending an HBCU and from parents who migrated to the west from the south. Today, more students from California are opting to attend local schools and are being heavily recruited by them. Being aware of this and the increasing need to bridge the gap between multiple generations to promote and encourage continuing interest and support of Grambling, this spurred a group of individuals, Ten with a Vision, to establish another alumni chapter in the Greater Los Angeles area, the Grambling University National Alumni Association (GUNAA) - Southern California Chapter.
