Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission

The Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission serves as the federally mandated State Advisory Group to the Governor, the General Assembly and the Illinois Department of Human Services.  The Commission has three primary goals: 1) to maintain compliance with the federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act, 2) to ensure that youth do not enter the juvenile justice system unnecessarily and 3) if youth do interact with the system, they leave with positive outcomes.
