Multilingual vocalist; sings in French, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish; leader and founder of Rendez Vous, a French jazz band; collaborator and educator. I am a free lance vocalist who enjoys collaborating with a variety of musicians.I feel that music is a powerful way to make the world a better place and to promote and encourage change for the better. With arrangements by grammy award arranger and jazz pianist Dr. James Polk, I founded Rendez Vous, a French jazz band based on the music that influenced my childhood, French, American and Arabic standards from the 1920s-1960s including songs by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Django Rheinhardt, Cole Porter, Charles Trenet, Fairuz and more. I called the show Rendez Vous in honor of my father's vision. He believed that we are all interconnected somehow no matter where we are from or where we live. I am also a vocalist in the newly formed Aşk-i Meşk (Ashk-y MeshK), which means passion and learning and explores music from the middle east and beyond, lead by Dr. Sonia Seeman. I collaborate with many world music bands in town and enjoy working on independent projects with musicians of varied genres.
