Kate & Laurie | Northwestern Medicine's Transplant Village

Kate & Laurie are both non-directed living kidney donors who met on their donation journey, and donated a few months apart in 2016. In April 2017, they planned the first donor meeting at the Bean during Donate Life Month. That meeting proved to be a success- they discovered that donors want to meet other donors, and the event was the perfect opportunity to do that! With the support of Northwestern Medicine’s Transplant Village, the pair has embarked on a new journey this year with the goal of creating a world record, documenting the greatest number of living organ donors to gather in the same place at the same time.
