Stephen founded Moxie Salon in Minneapolis in 1999 and opened a second location in St. Paul in 2005. Moxie Salon has developed a reputation as one of the most popular top-end salons in the Twin Cities, having received the prestigious "Readers Choice" and/or "Editor's Choice" awards from the City Pages publication six times between 2006 and 2011. Moxie Salon has also been a trailblazer among salons in giving back to the Twin Cities community through its numerous annual events that support the arts as well as the homeless and needy. As a young businessman, gifted hairdresser and educator, Stephen enjoys working in many phases of the beauty industry: as a hairdresser he is known for his innovative techniques and creative styles; as a platform artist he is highly sought-after to inspire with his hairdressing skills and motivational messages. He shares his skills and knowledge through his Foundational Building Block Classes, salon consulting, and with the broader Twin Cities stylist community through his monthly Advance Education seminars.
