NexGen Empowerment, LLC is focused on the development of our youth into the leaders of tomorrow. Instructors: Edward Reed - Ed is an Executive Director & Certified John C. Maxwell Team International Executive Coach, Leadership Trainer, and Keynote Speaker. He is the Founder & CEO of Academic Management Group, LLC – a global startup providing coaching, strategic educational & career planning, consulting, personality & career interest assessments, and leadership development training services. He is serving as the 2016 - 2017 President of the Maryland School Counselor Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the profession of school counseling and maximizing student potential in the areas of academic excellence, college & career readiness, and social-emotional growth. Ed is also the 2017 MCPS Middle School Counselor of the Year. He received an Advanced Post-Master’s Degree in Counseling & Clinical Supervision from Johns Hopkins University (with a 4.0 GPA). Jack Yeh - Jack is the Co-Founder, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of JMEA Corporation, a medical device company specializing in orthopedic implants and instrumentation. He holds over 30 US and international patents. He also has over 22 years of experience in the IT industry with executive level experience and progressively increasing responsibilities spanning strategy, program management, operations, business development, international business, and research and development. He served as the Chief Information Officer for one of the business sectors of Northrop Grumman, a Fortune 100 company. The annual revenue of the business sector was $5.2 billion with an IT budget of $122 million. He has also held management positions with TRW, BDM International, AT&T Federal Systems, and Bell Labs. He holds S.B. and S.M. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. Eric Yeh - Eric is a graduating middle school student and founder of the Public Speaking Club at his middle school. The Public Speaking Club had over 50 members and was the most popular club at his school. He has a passion for public speaking and sports broadcasting. He is an academically successful student maintaining a 4.00 GPA throughout middle school. He is also the quarterback of his flag football team that has won 3 consecutive championships and had 3 undefeated seasons. He enjoys speaking at school events and has done extensive community volunteering including broadcast work for the Bethesda Big Train Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League games.
