An RN since 2004 in Labor and Delivery as well as Postpartum/Mother-Baby. After over a decade in the hospital setting she has chosen to provide new parents with the education they need to have an empowered birth with improved outcomes as they deliver their new addition to their family. In October 2014 she became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and has enjoyed bringing this information to expecting couples in her private Childbirth Classes. She moved to Long Island in January of 2016 from Orlando, FL and joined LIDA (Long Island Doula Association).              She attended her Doula Certification Course in April 2016 and started taking clients on Long Island this year. Working at some of the largest Labor and Delivery units in the U.S. she is very familiar with the hospital setting and can give you the support you need while remaining calm and collected during an emergency if one arises. Having attended a water birth and many unmedicated births in the hospital setting she looks forward to attending a birth at your home as well!             Her goal at Long Island Empowered Doulas is to provide each and every one of her clients with the education, support, and resources you need to achieve your birth plans and goals.
