The Office of Business Central is SUNY Adirondack's hub for services and programming to develop and promote businesses of all sizes, as well as the place to connect community members with College faculty and students in pursuit of an entrepreneurial mindset.  Business Central coordinates all activities related to the College’s work in support of business development and growth, coordinated through the following initiatives: Connections:              Students: Business Central connects students with regional opportunities and provides career readiness resources.  Students can access an online career management tool called College Central Network (CCN) www.sunyadk.com/college_central.  Students can register in CCN to seek employment, internship and volunteer opportunities as well as access sources and information about career-related campus events.  In addition, Business Central offers individual appointments for students to assist in preparing for workforce readiness, including resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, thank you letters, and application assistance.  Students interested in meeting with the Coordinator of Career Readiness should e-mail businesscentral@sunyacc.edu to schedule an appointment             Businesses and Entrepreneurs: Business Central has established partnerships with the area’s business development resources to provide business assistance on campus, including Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE, Center for Economic Growth, Innovate 518, and Accelerate 518.  Students, business owners and community members interested in business development resources should contact businesscentral@sunyacc.edu. Workshops and Events: Business Central provides a wide selection of programming to support students career development, new business development, economic growth, workforce development and the entrepreneurship ecosystem.  A complete listing of upcoming Business Central events and workshops s available on the SUNY Adirondack events calendar, Business Central’s Home Page and College Central Network. Entrepreneurship: Through its economic development partnerships, Business Central provides current and future entrepreneurs with the resources, workshops and events to turn their business ideas from concept to reality.   Start-Up Adk  This 8 week, non-credit course for small business owners and entrepreneurs addresses the business planning process, resources to support small businesses and topics including marketing, bookkeeping, legal issues, financial projections, human resources and tools for small business.  To register for the Start-Up Adk course contact the Office of Continuing Education at 518.743.2238.
