Welcome to Sidebar! Sidebar helps modern professionals navigate their legal community by providing localized, custom resources and a unique platform for lawyers to connect, learn and thrive.  At its core, Sidebar is a movement. We are a growing group of self-identified modern legal professionals. We've identified glaring voids in the pipeline to connecting with one's local legal community. Breaking down artificial barriers and focusing purely on collaboration, these modern-thinkers have come together to help fellow lawyers (and law students) navigate their local legal community through the creation of innovative resources and opportunities.   Sidebar's weekly newsletter. In the Summer of 2018, Sidebar launched in South Florida with a small-scale beta test of its free weekly newsletter. The newsletter was created after Sidebar's team identified a serious lack of basic information regarding happenings in the community. A chicken-egg problem if you will: How can one get involved if they don't know where to start? After identifying this void, Sidebar set out to create a free resource to help modern lawyers stay in the know about what's happening in their legal community. Our innovative newsletter is the first of its kind in the SoFlo legal scene. While newsletters certainly aren't novel concepts, Sidebar's unique brand (speaking to lawyers as individuals, not robots), custom collection of events, opportunities, alternative JD resources, and our willingness to spotlight a diverse and exhaustive array of South Florida legal organizations sets our newsletter apart. We can't blame you. At Sidebar, we know your free time is valuable and we know that attending expensive, stuffy lawyer events isn't the way most modern lawyers (or law students) want to spend their time. Sidebar's team has dedicated considerable time and effort to researching and analyzing traditional lawyer events. With our deep knowledge and understanding of what's traditionally done, we've reimagined, re-engineered and reinvigorated the traditional. Applying design thinking principles and a copious amount of creativity, Sidebar presents curated events tailored to the modern lawyer.
