Christopher D. Kolenda, Ph.D. is internationally recognized for leading what may have been the most successful counterinsurgency campaign in Afghanistan, and then playing a critical role in policy and strategy formulation for the war in the Obama administration and for three 4* commanders. As founder of the Strategic Leaders Academy, he now helps nonprofits and small businesses develop leadership, culture, and strategy. Dr. Kolenda is the co-author of Leadership: The Warrior’s Art and The Counterinsurgency Challenge. His forthcoming book is a critical assessment of U.S. strategic leadership during the war in Afghanistan.
