We believe all of Chicagoland has a stake in ending gun violence and that by working together we change more than the narrative of our city - we save lives Almost daily we hear on the news that someone has been gunned down. The scale of violence is overwhelming. The problem is so large that it can seem insurmountable, and it is easy to feel that nothing we do will make a difference. But we know better. We’re on a mission, a mission whose success requires your participation—we hope you’ll join us because every stride counts! Strides for Peace seeks to eliminate senseless gun violence plaguing Chicago’s neighborhoods. We focus on supporting organizations that have achieved demonstrable success in reducing gun violence in their communities, whether by providing constructive outreach programs, creating educational or leadership opportunities, or otherwise.
