The 519 Band

The 519 Band, located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada Blues, Soul and Rock & Roll Available for public and private events The 519 Band started in 2013 with Front man & guitarist, Jamie Thompson. Back then it was a three piece group with Jamie's brother in law, Freddy playing bass & Steve Thompson on drums. The band had gone through many changes to get to today's line up of musicians. In fact, there are some quite funny coincidences and circumstances as to how we all got (back) here. In mid August 2014, I was approached by then drummer, Brandon Gurley, (whom to which I had only met in Dec 2013 and had rehearsed with a handful of times.) He told me that his band needed a bass player and so that I should come down and jam. So I did and have showed up every week since. Ironically, Brandon being the only guy I knew (however briefly) prior to joining the band, now lives in Manitoba. Hi Everyone! We are The 519 Band from Windsor Ontario Canada. We are making waves in our community with our 'toe tapping, head bobbing, get off your seat and dance in the street style of music. We play a lot of classics The 519 Band way! We hope you enjoy our music, we have over 70 covers but stay tuned for some Original Music very soon! We are working so hard to make it seem easy!
