about the Atelier: The Atelier at Arlene's is dedicated to developing creativity in the community since 2015. We are proud to work with an amazing group of talented local artists and instructors that bring the highest level of art education to every student. Classes and workshops are small ensuring everyone personalized instruction while still benefiting from working in a group. Topics range over a wide variety of creative pursuits and are geared to all experience levels.   about the Arlene's: Arlene’s Artist Materials is the Capital Region’s premiere locally owned, independent, and family operated art supply store with in house custom frame shop.   Contact us: Email: arlenesartist@gmail.com Call: (518) 482-8882 Visit: 57 Fuller Rd Albany, NY 12205 Online registration: www.arlenesartist.com   Student Discount: If you attend a class or workshop at Arlene’s you get our in-store Student Discount (10% off any merchandise not already on sale).   Policies: Pre-registration is required to attend all classes and workshops at Arlene’s. Register online at arelenesartist.com. Otherwise, please come into the store or call us to reserve your space. Full class fee is required with registration.   Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make.   Arlene's reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop. Classes or workshops with inadequate enrollment are canceled one to two days before the class/workshop meeting.  In this case all fees are refunded. Arlene's tries to keep registration for each class/workshop open as long as possible in the hopes of them running.   Arlene's Artist Materials and the Atelier at Arlene's  reserves the right to remove or bar any person from the Atelier at Arlene's classes/workshops who, in Arlene's  judgment, poses a perceived or actual threat to person or property or whose conduct disrupts or interferes with the class/workshop.   Please note: Arlene's reserves the right to make teacher changes or cancel classes when necessary   Cancellations: If a class is canceled by The Atelier at Arlene’s, payment may be applied toward another class/workshop,a credit, or refunded to the student. If the student withdraws one week prior to the start of a class/workshop, tuition and can be retained in a residual account to be applied to a future class, or refunded to the student. If the student withdraws less than one week prior to the class/workshop start date, or after the class has started, no tuition or materials fee will be refunded. Please understand that our faculty are under contract and that space/materials have been acquired one week prior to class start date. There are no exceptions.   Rescheduling: Classes: The only way a student can reschedule a missed day of a class is if there is a reason that is beyond your control, like a death in the family, and either the instructor or Arlene's was notified prior to the day missed. If neither of these actions have been taken we assume you are a "no show" and forfeit that day of the class. "No shows" are not eligible for rescheduling. Please keep in mind that you are only eligible for rescheduling a date in future section of the same/similar class with the same instructor. If there is another section of the class running during the same time period but at a different time of day you can attend one of its sessions as way to reschedule the missed day. When rescheduling the class we ask you notify the instructor and Arlene's so we can make the appropriate accommodations. Please so not just show to a class without notifying us as to avoid unnecessary confusion and disruptions to class. Workshop: Same roles apply to Workshop however you will be given a credit for a future class or workshop of your choosing.   The Ateiler at Arlene's cannot pro-rate single or multiple sessions of a class and is not responsible for classes or worklshops missed due to illness or other commitments.
