The I3 IoT Consortium

I3 is a open consortium made up of people, companies, organizations interested in furthering the development of community based IOT networks.   Community networks are different from organization managed IOT networks in that with a community managed IOT network, the IOT device owners maintain complete control over the IOT data streams produced by their IOT devices.   IOT device owners can specify which applications can gain access to their data and they can ask applications to apply for access.  IOT device stream rights can be provided based on the application providing documentation of usage intent or by providing the device owners with incentives.
