The University of Sydney Conservative Club

The USYD Conservative club is the bastion of conservatism on campus in the intellectual tradition of Robert Menzies, John Howard, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. The University of Sydney Conservative Club stands for freedom, flag, free enterprise, faith and family. We hold fast to the traditions and institutions that have stood the test of time and uphold the rule of law. Our Australian form of conservatism operates in the Burkean tradition and values the inheritance of Western Civilization. We privilege common sense over ideology, precedent over progressivism, reform over revolution, society over the state, and freedom over coercion. The Club also runs many events ranging from casual drinks nights to lectures with prominent Conservative academics, business leaders, journalists and politicians.
