Washington Heights & Inwood Coalition Against Interpersonal & Domestic Violence

The Washington Heights & Inwood Coalition Against Domestic and Interpersonal Violence's mission is: (1) to educate and promote awareness to end and prevent interpersonal violence; (2) to enhance resources (3) to advocate at all levels for an end to domestic/interpersonal violence and policies that adhere to this, and (4) to strengthen collaborative relationships among service providers who come in contact with victims and survivors of domestic and interpersonal violence in northern Manhattan.   Founded in May of 2000, The Washington Heights and Inwood Coalition Against Domestic Violence, is comprised of community based organizations and institutions, both public and private, in the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods of northern Manhattan. A number of the Coalition members provide comprehensive and holistic services to the entire family including women, children and men.
