This beginner Tai Chi class will begin with a sequence of warm up
exercises. The warm up will be followed by the traditional 108 move
sequence, which is designed to gently balance the body’s
musculoskeletal structure. Tai Chi helps to put a person in touch with
their body, integrating mind and body into a more harmonious whole.
The class will focus on Yang Style Tai Chi. Benefits of Tai Chi
include: increased physical stamina, flexibility, strength; mental
clarity, memory, awareness; spiritual development, energy development,

About DAVID:
David Long has a Ph.D in philosophy, with a focus on Buddhism and
Western thought. He has been practicing Buddhist meditation for the
last 20 years. He has also studied the Tao Te Ching and I Ching, two
Taoist classics for many years, and practiced Taoist meditation. David
has been practicing Tai Chi and Chinese Internal Martial Arts for
almost 40 years. He has lived and trained in Asia, and the West.
