Novos Baianos are a Brazilian music group (Música Popular Brasileira) that formed in 1968 and rose to great heights in the 1970s. Novos Baianos is considered one of the most important and revolutionary groups in Brazilian music. The band uses a combination of rock and traditional bossa nova to create catchy, complicated, and elegant music centered around guitars.
