Memorial Day Camp Just like the explorers of the past, our campers
will embark on an exciting adventure through San Francisco led by two
experienced naturalists. Our day begins with a “mind map”—a
silly, synergistic assembly to spark curiosity and get our minds ready
for the day’s theme. Then it’s time for trekking! Campers get to
know one another through team-building games, guided exploration, and
shared adventure. Campers will meet at one of our camp locations and
may start the day with a visit from our amazing Animal Ambassadors.
From there, they’ll set off to explore the rich flora and fauna of
local parks—including Holly Park, Bernal Heights, St. Mary’s,
Alemany Farm, Glen Canyon, Dolores Park, the Presidio, and more. On
any given day, campers may walk 1–5 miles as they discover the
wonders of nature thriving right here in San Francisco. Transportation
may include our Tree Frog Treks 13-passenger van or the classic BMW:
Bus, Muni, and Walking. At the end of the day, you’ll find campers
back at their group site—often climbing trees or playing in adjacent
playgrounds (if applicable), always under the supervision of our
staff. Important Camp Information and Welcome Email will go out a week
prior to your session start.
