, a Juneteenth Salon and celebration. Please join us in the jubilee as we come together as a community to dance and experience performance art inspired by the history of Bay Area BIPOC artists.
“Being rooted in ancestral joy means I am nurturing the essence of what brought my people joy here in America. I am honoring the memories of their lives by pursuing their most cherished dreams of freedom, love, wealth, and legacy. Roots—particularly those from the maple or cottonwood trees—don’t always grow toward the earth’s core; they also spread and intertwine horizontally. Similarly, this joy we are rooted in reflects our intention to stay connected to the legacies of our loved ones, our community of supporters, and dance enthusiasts here in the Bay Area.”-
