Sherman Library & Gardens
Sherman Library & Gardens was founded in 1966 by Arnold D. Haskell and named in memory of Moses H. Sherman, educator and California pioneer.
Sherman Library & Gardens provides a museum of living plants, displayed in an attractive setting of fountains, sculpture and well-tended shrubs and lawns. Large flower beds and numerous hanging baskets radiate seasonal color and accent the Early California architectural theme of the surrounding buildings.
The Library maintains a small exhibit room displaying items of historical interest. Within the Library itself hangs a modest collection of California impressionist paintings
