For more information, visit: known for its eclectic neighborhoods, progressive spirit, and a deep-rooted love of music. It’s a city where historic venues sit just blocks from dive bars, and where the next great artist might be performing down the street from a taco shop. On Saturday, May 3, one local event is offering a unique way to experience that musical culture — not from a seated auditorium or sprawling festival field, but by foot.
It’s called Festicrawl, and it’s fast becoming one of San Francisco’s most intriguing annual events. Blending the high-energy lineup of a music festival with the laid-back, bar-hopping spirit of a pub crawl, Festicrawl transforms a spring Saturday into a curated journey through the city’s nightlife and local music scene.

From 4PM to 10PM, participants will check in at Mayes Oyster House on Polk Street, receive their wristbands, and begin their six-hour adventure across a carefully selected lineup of local bars and venues. Each stop offers its own mix of live bands, DJs, drink specials, and unexpected surprises — from a “Find the Gnome” contest to tattoo stations, party favors, and food deals designed to keep the crowd moving and energized.
Participating locations this year include Beso Mae, McTeague’s, El Lopo, Music City SF, Lush Lounge, Route 101, Decodance, R Bar, and more — each serving as a micro-venue for the evening. Some offer intimate spaces for singer-songwriter sets. Others may host DJ-driven dance floors, turning a casual evening into a spontaneous celebration of sound.
The concept, while playful, is well-executed. Organized by CrawlSF, the local events team behind some of the city’s most popular themed crawls, Festicrawl isn’t just about partying — it’s about connection. Attendees can move freely from bar to bar, catching a favorite genre or discovering a new artist entirely by accident. It’s a festival without fences, a concert with a cityscape as its backdrop.
While the official lineup and set times have yet to be announced, the format encourages discovery. And with tickets starting at just $12, Festicrawl remains one of the most accessible live music events in the Bay Area — offering both locals and visitors an opportunity to experience the city in a refreshingly communal way.
As the sun sets on May 3, a new kind of music festival will pulse through the streets of San Francisco — one without stages, gates, or VIP wristbands. Just music, movement, and a city ready to celebrate.
