The Tiny Monster Show Oct. 2 - 31st

The month of October brings with it an air of mischieveousness. Witches, ghosts and monsters abound pretty much wherever you look. Creating the perfect Halloween costume occupies many a mind while monsters reign on the screens. Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein, Nosferatu, Dracula, King Kong, Godzilla, classics that will last the test of time. Whether or not you like monsters, one has to admit, most of us like a good scare now and then. Curiously, the word Monster derives from the Latin "monstrum", (divine omen, object of dread). In turn, "monstrum" is the derivative of "monere", (to remind, warn, instruct, or foretell). From this vantage point, monsters take on a new inspiring role, not to just scare us, but to inform us. So what can monsters teach us about our fears, our society and beyond?

The Tiny Monster Show explores our fears so we can take a deeper look at what we've been suppressing and what we need to confront.

From classical to political with a little humor in between, The Tiny Monster Show gives space to capture, reveal, and maybe conquer those elements that keep us frozen in fear and shine a light on what it means to be human. Perhaps you'll experience a moment of laughter in recognition that you are more powerful than monsters would have you believe.
