31st Annual El Sobrante Stroll Transforms San Pablo Dam Road Into An "Out Of This World" Half-Mile Block PartyEL SOBRANTE, CA — The El Sobrante Chamber of Commerce proudly invites the Bay Area community to the 31st Annual El Sobrante Stroll on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This year’s highly anticipated festival theme is "Out of This World," promising an extraordinary day of community pride, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun. For one day only, a half-mile stretch of San Pablo Dam Road (between El Portal Drive and Appian Way) will completely close to vehicular traffic, transforming the town's main thoroughfare into a bustling, pedestrian-only open street festival expected to draw over 25,000 visitors.
The cosmic festivities officially kick off at 11:00 AM with the famous El Sobrante Stroll Parade. The parade will feature local marching bands, school groups, community organizations, public safety displays from local fire and law enforcement, and creative floats matching this year's space-inspired theme.
2026 El Sobrante Stroll Highlights Include:
* The Main Stage & Live Music: Festival-goers can enjoy live performances across five different music stages mapped along the boulevard. This year's headline act, GTS [Got The Soul] Band, will take the stage midway through the venue at the ArtistTree Main Stage located at the intersection of Hillcrest Road and San Pablo Dam Road.
* Custom & Classic Car Show: Automotive enthusiasts can marvel at an expansive exhibition of vintage hot rods, classic muscle cars, and custom vehicles. The first 25 pre-registered vehicle owners will receive a special complimentary pancake breakfast hosted by the local Elks Lodge to benefit Boy Scouts Troop 146.
* Over 100 Local Vendors: The streets will be lined with more than 100 booths highlighting unique arts and crafts, community outreach organizations, games, local businesses, and multi-cultural food options.
* Children’s Activities & Interactive Displays: Families can explore dedicated youth activity zones, interactive games, and special showcases including professional bike demonstrations.
Important Traffic Advisory: To safely facilitate the setup and breakdown of the block party, San Pablo Dam Road between Appian Way and El Portal Drive will be completely closed to all vehicles from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20. Local motorists are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes through the valley during these hours.
Admission to the El Sobrante Stroll is completely free. A Special Edition Stroll T-shirt will be available for purchase at the event in limited supply on the day of the event.
