_Note: this is a couple/partnered only class_This hands-on workshop is a continuation of the Rope Circle beginners series. No matter if this your first class or you have some experience, you will walk away with a new perspective on the beauty and power of Japanese rope bondage. We will spend the morning and afternoon focused on developing the necessary skill needed to free flow in an efficient and practical manner, This will be followed by several exercises that will teach how to tie and weave a beautiful aesthetic webbing pattern that will encapsulate and embrace your partner while creating a sensual journey shared by both of you. _No previous rope experience is necessary!_ A COUPLE OF NOTES ABOUT THE CLASS: * We provide the rope for you to practice with. * You should come dressed comfortably, to tie and be tied. * Those who will be tied should wear tight fitting, comfortable clothes (loose stuff gets in the way!) People often wear yoga or workout apparel. * If you have a yoga mat, please bring one. * This is a couple or paired workshop so, bring a friend! PRESENTER: Kanso is a teacher, performer and visual artist of Japanese rope bondage (Shibari). He was first introduced to the world of Shibari while visiting Japan in 2006 and has spent the last 13 years refining his rope practice and skills. In 2010 he co-created Bondage Erotique with the intent of introducing a more sensual and intimate approach to rope bondage. He has taught rope intensives in NYC, L.A. Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, San Antonio, D.C, etc, and has performed extensively at corporate events, art shows & music festivals across the U.S. In 2017, Kanso started the Kiss of Rope with the intention of bringing the art of Japanese rope more into the mainstream, through performance art and private instruction. The aim is to raise awareness of Shibari as a transformational practice that helps build deeper intimacy, connection, and sensuality between partners. Kanso was a regular rope instructor at the SF Armory/Kink.com for four years until it closed its doors in 2018 and taught the year-long Shibari curriculum taking students from beginner through to suspension. He continues to offer several on-going monthly classes and events in his hometown of San Francisco. https://www.instagram.com/kanso_kinbaku/ [https://www.instagram.com/kanso_kinbaku/] SHIBARI SCHOOL WEBSITE: https://www.theropecircle.com/ [https://www.theropecircle.com/] Personal Website: http://kissofrope.com/ [http://kissofrope.com/] Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/kanso [https://vimeo.com/kanso] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kanso.ropeartist [https://www.facebook.com/kanso.ropeartist]
