"Curiosity is the best science tool—and this camp helps young learners use it every day! Campers explore the world like scientists by noticing details, asking questions, and trying out simple investigations. Throughout the week, campers practice sorting and classifying as they gather safe nature items and group them by color, texture, shape, and other clues. They’ll explore mixtures by testing what happens when colors blend, and when oil and water refuse to mix. Campers become “rock detectives” as they compare different rocks and learn new ways to describe and categorize them. They’ll also investigate wind and evaporation through hands-on play, make a cloud-like model, and discover how plants use wind to spread seeds. By the end of camp, learners will strengthen observation, language-building, and early problem-solving skills while practicing how to make and share careful scientific observations. Campers will also head outside for guided nature observations to practice real-world field skills."
