Amy X Neuburg's "Come to My House"

Welcome to "Come to My House!" Come and be surrounded by 8 channels of sound emanating from 8 pieces of sculpture, bringing you 8 songs about Amy's house -- ranging from intimate beckoning voices to hard driving rhythms to choral compositions. The songs were written. performed and produced by local electronic music chanteuse Amy X Neuburg, and she collaborated with artist Andrew Juris to create the speaker sculptures -- each one a unique piece of art illustrating each song. Instrument designer Donald Swearingen devised the audio unit that plays the sound.

The performance runs 40 minutes, at 4 and 6 PM June 14 and 15, and takes place in a home dance studio in Berkeley. SPACE IS LIMITED. Hang out afterwards for chatting, fruit and microwave popcorn.
