American Bookbinders MuseumA Brief Ceremony Commemorating New Art in Yerba Buena Join us on World Book Day for a brief ceremony with the artist and local dignitaries. The Banned Book Jail, created by Robert Bernstein a.k.a neverbeforedesign, is a poignant reminder that banned books and censorship are on the rise. Including 60 banned books ranging from literary classics like 1984, to children’s stories like Peter Rabbit, the art piece is a testament to the liberation literature provides and the resistance these texts symbolize to readers and distributors.
